The general rule when picking out a pair is simply the thicker the gloves, the better! Having water proof gloves is a plus but this will cost you extra. As a beginner, a regular pair will do nicely. If you wish to remain warm all throughout your snowboarding practice lessons, it is best to use waterproof jackets and pants. Even when you are wearing layers of warm clothes, the condensing air containing moisture will not only dampen your spirits, but most certainly your clothes. Damp clothes pretty soon will start to get wet and cold. Lastly, do not forget to wear sunglasses as you start to maneuver your way down the icy slopes. It will be almost impossible to stay mounted on your snowboard when the sun gets in your eyes. The white snow may also present a problem since it reflects the sunlight thus blinding you when you are not wearing the proper UV protected sunglasses. |
